What leaves your phone
- Your budget: nothing. Amounts, categories, notes and balances are never sent anywhere.
- Anonymous usage counts, like “expense added”, go to Umami. No cookies, and one switch in Settings turns them off.
- Crash reports, with your data removed, go to Sentry. The same switch turns them off.
- On this site: page views and which of two headlines you saw go to Umami. Your browser keeps that headline’s letter (a or b), so you see the same one next time.
- If you join the beta, your e-mail address goes to Tally.
Questions
Where is my data?
On your phone, in your browser’s storage. There’s no account and no copy on a server. Export a backup file from Settings whenever you like.
Is it free?
Yes, during the beta. A paid plan comes later; beta testers hear first, and nothing is ever charged without your clear agreement.
Why no bank linking?
Nothing to link and nothing to break, it works in every country, and your bank never knows you use it. An expense takes about ten seconds to type — that small habit is what makes the numbers yours.
